brown and sticky

I haven't seen as much muck since I lost my welly in the 'quicksand' while fishing with Dad in Ardgroom about 20 years ago. The image of Noah's Ark finally coming to rest and the waters receeding fills my mind as I squelch home every evening. I have learned to tell the orientation of a piece of land by how much snow remains, those that are south facing were the first to bare themselves to the Siberian sun, and at first I was afraid of what they would reveal, being reminded of the frozen cat I saw during my first few days here, a full year ago now.

Janey is it a year ago? That's gas, we don't even miss you. That was only a joke.
