I was trying to find some material to teach my class tomorrow and found the above on a site boasting a list of commonly used proverbs. That's going to be great fun to explain to a group of 13 year olds. So, if you ever have a problem with someone or you think that they might 'dob' on you, just kill them, thats what we do in the English speaking world.The sneaky little 'Home and Away' reference there, is a tribute to all you real life Australians and the rest of you (Spud, Daire and Rachael) who are just pretending to be. So, happy Australia day, i hope you all eat too much vegemite and come to the realisation that it is a disgustingly slimy substance that would be better suited to smearing on rotten carrots than passing human lips.
